Exceeding National Quality Standard – in all 7 areas
Albyn Road Early Education Centre recently completed the mandatory assessment and rating process with the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). In order to receive the rating of “Exceeding”, the Centre must go beyond the National Quality Standard in 4 out of 7 quality areas.
Not only did we achieve this Exceeding rating, but we achieved Exceeding in all 7 quality areas!
According to ACECQA, exceeding practice is embedded in service operations, informed by critical reflection, and shaped by meaningful engagement with families and/or community. These themes are applied to the 7 Quality Areas:
- Quality Area 1 – Educational program and practice
- Quality Area 2 – Children’s health and safety
- Quality Area 3 – Physical environment
- Quality Area 4 – Staffing arrangements
- Quality Area 5 – Relationships with children
- Quality Area 6 – Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
- Quality Area 7 – Governance and leadership
